Hi, I hope you are well and the week has been good to you.
Today’s blog features the fabulous Art Gallery stamp set from Stampin’ Up!. Heat embossing is a technique I often forget about. I am tending to try and keep a powder on my desk at the moment to remind me! Are you like me? do you tend to forget techniques?
I used Blackberry Bliss and silver embossing powder to create this first card. As you can see I also decorated the card inner, and the envelope with the same image in Blackberry Bliss. We never want naked envelopes, and its exciting for the recipient.
I used a Stampin’ Up! Blending Brush to swirl the Blackberry Bliss over the silver embossed stamped image. I used a piece of tissue to wipe excess ink off the embossed area.
The second card with heat embossing used the clear embossing powder on a Magenta Madness base. Art Gallery is a two step stamp photo-polymer set for ease of lining up your images.
I found it interesting that the Versamark ink seemed to bleach out the Magenta Madness from the first stamp. This created, what I think, is an interesting look to the flower. Do you agree?
To keep the card simple I added a single Magenta Madness embellishment and paint splashes. For the leaves on all these cards I used Garden Green.
The final card I created with Melon Mambo and Blackberry Bliss in the two steps. With the addition of paint splashes and two rhinestones. I used two of the sentiments in the set together for the message.
