Hello again, thank you for popping by, this is the first of my blogs to introduce techniques. As the title says this week I show you alcohol inks backgrounds. Let me know in the comments what techniques you would like to know more about.
The first card is CASE’d (copy and share everything) from the catalogue, an amazing resource for inspiration. The two backgrounds are from one background, made to look completely different by using different accent colours. Calypso Coral on the left and Bermuda Bay on the right.
The next two cards use the Stampin’ Up! Beautiful Moments stamp Set. This one was entered into a CreativMAYnia challenge for the Pinkies team. I think I can improve on the hair but I love the way the background came out.
This second card uses the same technique and I added a piece of DSP (patterned paper) from Sand and Sea DSP. This added an extra dimension to the sky as I mounted the piece of vellum onto yellow cardstock. These two little girls are so sweet, the buckets had to be bright! They were coloured with blends, fussy cut and added to the card.
The alcohol ink technique is linked in the image below…. enjoy xx (Stampin’ Up! dont sell 99.9% isopropanol, I purchased mine from www.smile.amazon which allows me to support Willen Hospice).
Will you try this technique? Let me know in the comments.
Marie xx
