Hello, how are you doing? I can’t believe another week has flown by. I hope you are well?

We have 3 sets of masks available from Stampin Up! So I thought I would show you what to do with them! Two of the sets are in the annual catalogue and one set is in the mini and is more Christmas related ??

I have shown in the images the Basic Pattern masks (150697) and the Adorning Designs masks (156328). The additional set we have available is Plenty of Patterns (155553)

So, how do we use the masks? The purpose is to create a pattern onto cardstock. This means we have several options – a blending brush with ink, a sponge with ink, an embossing paste or powder. If you know of other uses do let me know (always happy to learn more techniques)

I had to start some Christmas cards ??

I combined the dots and stripes for the Stampin Up! Real Red based card with a blending brush for the dots and a sponge dauber for the strips. The card using Stampin Up! Evening Evergreen and Soft Succulent was created by completing one colour with a blending brush and then moving the mask before blending the other colour.

For this card I used a piece from the Hand Penned DSP along with Stampin Up! Pool Party cardstock and sponged with Pool Party ink using the tree design mask.

Of course my favourite sentiment set had to come out again! I think I may wear it out. Do you have a stamp set like that?

Remember if you love Hand Penned there are black and white coordinating papers available during SALEa-bration (aug/sept 2021)

Delicate Dahlias, only available with orders over £90 during SALEa-bration, this two step stamp is stunning. Shown here in Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody and So Saffron, on an ombre background. I ombred the background after using the decorative mask with embossing paste (I left it overnight to dry)

This card features Pool Party and the Be Dazzled paper ONLY available during SALEa-bration Aug and Sept 2021 – its appropriately named and a stunning addition to any project ??(the card looks wonky, I think its because I put the mask at a jaunty angle, dont do this if you are offended by a wonky look)
