I hope you are well, summer seems to have joined us again in the UK! Typically it goes from the sublime to the ridiculous with last weekends heat topping 30 degrees. Although it mean I did yoga in the park last Saturday morning ??♀️
This stamp set is in the annual catalogue and I instantly thought calendar gifts for Christmas…. then I saw a Christmas card with the 25th December circled by Jo Blackman a fellow UK demonstrator for Stampin’ Up!. So I created two birthday cards recently using the same idea. I hope they inspire you ?
Using Polished Pink, Cherry Cobbler and gold embossing powder I created this card. The background was created with a Stampin Up! Blending Brush and Paper Lattice. I used my favourite Stampin’ Up! Shimmery White paper (you can just see this slight simmer on the calendar below.
The Stampin’ Up! designers really thought about the designing of this set, the calendar fits perfectly across a D block, the most commonly used block in the range. There is two rows of the days of the week depending on whether you prefer Monday – Sunday or Sunday to Saturday.
I found it easiest to have my mobile phone to hand to check how a month fell and tried every combination and it works every time! I would love to know how long it took the designer to go from the idea to designing a full proof stamp. Are you like me and wonder how?
This card in a box was for a 50th birthday, I used the Pansy Petals designer series paper and Stampin Up!’s Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent. The Be Dazzling paper is FREE with an order over £45 between 3rd August and 30th September 2021. It doesn’t flake and in some lights appears silver, others gold – it is truly stunning!
