As one of the many things I love about Stampin’ Up! is the ease of colour coordination, in 50 gorgeous colours. I don’t think any other company offers such a coordinated palette 🥰
Stampin’ Up! group the colours in families, Brights, Regals, Neutrals and Subtles. My blog series is following the rainbow that I store my inks and cardstock in.
This week I am showcasing Coastal Cabana, one of our Brights family members.
I must confess that Coastal Cabana doesn’t get a whole lot of use in my crafting currently. Do you find you have colours like that?

The above calendar page for 2022 used Coastal Cabana within the sea. I created this under the guidance of Esther from Stampin Star Creations, isn’t it gorgeous?

Although this paper isn’t available now it does show how Coastal Cabana blends with other more blue shades.
All Stampin’ Up colours come in ink and cardstock. They feature in a selection of Designer Series Papers, including the family. Coastal Cabana is also in the watercolor pencil selection and Soft Pastels assortment.
This card uses the watercolor pencils, I used Coastal Cabana on her top, one of the pieces from Pretty Patterns DSP and a Coastal Cabana card base 🥰
Designer Series Paper (DSP) or patterned papers are a great way to bring a mix of colours to your projects.
Coastal Cabana features in Hues of Happiness and Pretty Patterns in the Stampin Up! Annual catalogue.
If you have a limited range of inks, whether its space or finances that constrain you, we aren’t all lucky enough to have all the colours! (that’s mainly SU demos)
I would always suggest investing in inks that go with papers you have (or are investing in) along with cardstock and also getting blends pens if available.
This range of coordination make creating projects simpler, you really don’t have to worry about mismatched colours.
