October was really busy, My husband was 60, my mum 80 and a friend got married! Phew…. November is quieter thankfully!
Well unless you consider all the Christmas cards I need to make 🎉🎅🏼🎄
I love this double gate fold design of card. The numbers and the words are no longer available – the paper is from Awash in Beauty.
I fussy cut one of the images for behind the 80 and inside the card. I focused on So Saffron as a lovely colour to lift autumn.
I finished the card off with Brass Butterfly embellishments – as it was for Mums 80th I added 8 🦋
This card uses the Tea Boutique 6 x 6 papers and Sun Prints 12 x 12 for the front panel. The cardstock is Starry Sky one of the In Colours.
How to make the double gatefold
Cut a piece of cardstock as a base 29cm x 14cm, in the same colour a piece 10.5cm x 7cm. Cut a white piece 9cm x 5.5cm, inside white piece 11.5cm x 7cm
DSP pieces to coordinate 2 of each 14cm x 4.5cm, 14cm x 4.5cm and 10.5cm x 4.5cm. For inside card 13.5cm x 9cm
Scoring on 29cm x 14cm piece from each end at 4.8cm and 9.6cm.
Stick the DSP pieces onto the two front panels and the back longer panel. Cut the diagonal from the second score to the 7cm point (midpoint on the edge)
Stick the larger DSP piece inside the card, add a sentiment to the white piece and place inside.
Stick the front white panel to the 10.5cm x 7cm piece. Glue the bottom left corner of the front panel to the front left folded panel
Add ribbon or die cut elements as you wish to the panel
For the wedding celebration card I used the Splendid Day 12 x 12 papers. The vellum piece I embossed with the Stitched Greenery die and the cut using the Basic Borders die.
